CARLOS CAMPOS – NEW YORK S/S 2012 PRESENTATION

[slidepress gallery=’carlos-campos-new-york-ss-2012-presentation’]

Blending modern New Yorker workwear and contemporary tailoring with indigenous, Central and South American heritage – Inca, Maya and Aztec. The Carlos Campos collection showcased a unique hybrid mixture of Amerinidian explorer meets western resort wear. Ankle-hugging chinos added an edge look to the collection which balanced out the classic brogues and wide-brimmed fedoras.

The collection switched back and forth between laid-back looks, which were accentuated by effortlessly undone shirts, wide brimmed hats and slouched jackets, and a primmer, library-boy meets jungle adventurer look setup by buttoned, collars and neatly tucked in shirts. Kahki and olive green shades weaved in and out of the collections dominating mix of sky blues, teals, peaches and corals to create an underscoring tropical concoction.  Imbibed with colour blocking the collection is both bold yet tactfully understated . Finer details included draw-stringed waistbands and neatly turned up sleeves.
