PRABAL GURUNG – NEW YORK F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW

Prabal Gurung used his Fall 2012 collection to show both the light and the dark sides of his personality. The collection progressed from blacks to whites and gold without losing any of it’s initial darkness and intensity in the process.  Even amongst the ruffles, sequins, and gold lame, tops and gowns, structured like armor, subtly repeated a print of steer skulls reminiscent of McQueen.  The show was a mix of perfectly tailored silhouettes, and red carpet worthy dresses made for Gurung’s growing fan base of young starlets, including Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Lawrence.
