Jeffrey Gamble

New York based Award winning photographer and artist, Jeffrey Gamble is an extraordinary photographer from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. At a very tender age of 8, Gamble developed an interest in integrating art and photography, while pursuing art in school and living next to a photo studio in his hometown. He later migrated to the United States in his teen years to pursue professional training at the Fashion Institute of Technology while simultaneously working as a production assistant in the field. He later embarked on an intensive practical training program as a photo assistant to a number of renowned photographers including French Beauty photographer Heribert Brehm & Still life photographer Halley Ganges. Thinking globally, Gamble focused his ideas and goals towards Europe, where he interned at British Elle in London under Picture Editor Duane Ashurst and Creative Director Stuart Selnar, before venturing on his own in 1998.
“British Elle Magazine and a program called ACT-SO, gave me the best start toward my future long term goals, ideas, and especially the photography business.”
His photography then took him on assignments to countries such as Poland, France, England, Turks And Caicos, Jamaica, throughout the USA and most recently the Netherlands/Amsterdam. Today he is an accomplished photographer in his field admired by his peers and clients for his excellence in producing classically clean images with amazing visual impact. Although he prefers Film photography for some assignments / projects, working Digitally allows a quick response to lighting, texture and detail. His photographs are genuine replicas as he captures a lifestyle approach in every image. Retouching, is also one of his key assets, making his clients love him even more.
“The computer is a wonderful extension to the camera and my visual eye. I love to make my Models and Portrait subjects look and feel good in the most beautiful light. Beauty is in everything that I see. I am particularly interested in the details of anything. My aim and goals are for my work to reach clients and artistic directors globally, especially in London, France, Amsterdam and Japan.”
“It is only with the heart, that one could see rightly. What is essential, is sometimes invisible to the eye.”
Mr. Gamble is based in New York City with his wife and three daughters.
