VANESSA BRUNO – PARIS A/W 2010 FASHION SHOW

VANESSA BRUNO

Drawing inspiration from dancers’ warm-up attires, the Vanessa Bruno’s show offered layered and wrapped outfits in knitted, clingy fabrics with tasteful cutouts. Floaty chiffon dresses, patchwork heeled boots with fur trim and ribbed cardigans were abound on the runway. For outerwear, the long gray shearling with a knitted hem would be faultless for a snowy day, or a drop-waist camel leather trench coat would pair well with any earthy-toned ensemble. Bruno’s take on this season’s “must have” item, the mixed media jacket, combined gray flannel with a thick leather hem and ribbed knit backing; while her innovative blazers had an added strap to help it stay put if it were to be worn tossed over your shoulder. When all was said and done, Bruno proved to have a strong winter collection.
