Modernist Mandy Coon‘s Spring/Summer 2011 collection this year was inspired by the unusual theme of “jellyfish”. Without being overly literal with the reference, she used black leather tubing, multi-colored prints, jewelry and belts to create her edgy looks. Strands of thread that hung off some of her unfinished hems help create that jellyfish feel. One of the highlights was the stripe cut black leather tunic top, layered over bright silk. The neutral black leathers mixed with with shocking orange tones helped push the edge of the collection while keeping it from being overly hard.
