HAIPING XIE COLLECTION VIDEO
From Shenzhen, China, fashion designer Haiping Xie made his launch this season at Vauxhall Fashion Scout: Fashion Shenzhen aiming to spread cultural awareness of designers from the region. Xie Haiping is the General Manager and Design Director of Haiping Design studio. He graduated from the Apparel Department of Shannxi Education Institute and worked as a design director for Fashion Shenzhen. Xie’s Spring / Summer 2011 collection showcased modern silhouettes with typical Chinese embroidered fabrics using a colour palette of blue, gold and black. Xie’s combination of complex beading, lace seams and sheer panelling added an eye-catching beauty to the elaborate luxurious collection of primarily evening wear.
GROUND SHOW COLLECTION VIDEO
Fashion Shenzhen’s next designer was Ground Show, featuring the collection of Wangyuan (the creative director of Ground Show.) Her Spring / Summer collection was quite a diversion from what Haiping Xie had previously shown. Featuring an assortment of casual long knitted dresses, oversized jumpers and layered pieces with boots, the collection seemed more appropriate for winter rather than spring/summer. The finale magenta, pink and purple floor length dress was quite lovely, despite the heavy coverage for spring.
