ROMINA KARAMANEA COLLECTION VIDEO

Designer Romina Karamanea was born in Athens and had graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design with a degree in Innovative Pattern Cutting. Karamanea’s Spring / Summer collection was inspired by Abstract Expressionist art. The color palette ranges from white, grey, tan, black, firery red and cobalt blue. She played with an interesting use of fabrics and textures, layering sheer fabrics over opaques, and mixing swim wear with evening dresses on the catwalk. Many of the pieces looked early 90’s inspired, with mid-drift exposing short tops with skirts and asymmetric cuts. Some of the highlights were the evening gown made from tulle in a deep flow of blue and a red silk gown with a loose train and deep cut-out back.
