Amanda Wakeley, a self-taught designer, was born in Chester, England. Her muse was “loosely taken from tribal ceremonial dress: the saturation of colour, the hollow cast beads accenting the spine and the skeletal seaming that sculpts the body.” Keeping with a color palette of mostly beiges, cobalt blues, and rose pink, Wakeley delivers a wonderful collection ranging from simple dresses with elegant draping to flowing dresses with front panel seams and spider web threads. We loved the unique black waistline corset effects as well as the grecian draping.
