MANISH ARORA PARIS S/S 2012 FASHION SHOW

Indian designer Manish Arora is known for his passion for eclecticism, flash, and rich use of color. At his SS12 debut, models sat and waited at gold Parisian café tables lined up alongside the runway as other models strutted on by. The Amazonian flair was evident in the metallic breastplates, feathery skirts, ancient tribal patterning, signature ornaments composed of vibrant birds, and bird-like eye makeup and slicked back hair. Shimmery fabrics of gold and bronze interplayed with rich greens, turquoises and pinks, while several garments covered in monochromatic images of festival hippies added an interesting dimension to the collection.
