GEN ART – NEW YORK F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW

After a two year hiatus, Gen Art has returned to Fall 2012 fashion week with a runway show titled “New Garde Crest 3D White,” which featured emerging designers Gemma Kahng, Samantha Pleet, and duo William Okpo.  Gemma Kahng’s collection was inspired by Renaissance portraits and medieval armor which she blended with her own modern, hip hop sensibility.  Samantha Pleet’s “Romantic Revival” collection featured caped jackets and quirky prints all made out of eco-friendly fabrics. Finally, the William Okpo collection mixed brilliant colors with plaids and crazy texture to create voluminous, mod silhouettes.
