Sarah Burton, the woman who had been at Alexander McQueen‘s side for the past 16 years found herself into the fashion spotlight for the very first time as the new head designer for the brand. The theme appeared to be new life with nature, as if to signal a rebirth of the brand. Moss peeped through the set’s simple wooden floorboards to the exquisite butterfly dresses. The tail coat is a traditional McQueen piece but this time it was softened with edges unfinished. While no one can ever replace Lee Alexander McQueen, the brand lives on with talented Sarah Burton.
