BADGLEY MISCHKA – NEW YORK F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW

The German expressionist sci-fi film classic, Metropolis, was the inspiration for Mark Badgley and James Mischka’s F/W 2012 collection. Although the black-and-white film came out in 1927, Badgley Mischka’s collection featured pink, teal and emerald green along with the array of metallic colors. The opening gown, a figure-hugging piece made of sequins and chiffon with fringed shoulders and chains draped across the open back, set the tone for the show. Models in electrified hairstyles walked down the runway in metallic tweet pants and vests, satin gowns, and a gold lamé pyjama set.
