Designer duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka met while studying at Parsons School of Design, in New York. After joining forces, they launched their label Badgley Mischka in 1988. For their Spring 2011 collection, they went back to ’88 with inspiration coming from the 1988 film, White Mischief, about aristocratic British exiles in Colonial Kenya. With that in mind Badgley Mischka showcased a glamourous collection of gowns, skirts and high-waisted trousers. One of the highlights of the show was their simply draped, one-shoulder gown in a frosty aqua green.
