CUSTO BARCELONA – NEW YORK S/S 2012 FASHION SHOW

CUSTO BARCELONA FASHION SHOW VIDEO BY XXXX MAGAZINE
Eyes were busy processing prints at Custo Barcelona’s S/S New York show. Geometric designs seemingly inspired by worldy cultures near and far met one-piece bathing suits, lightweight tailored jackets, hot-pants, dresses, shor-sleeved jackets, trousers (you name it) in a kaleidocopic outcry to create a rouch, fun, edgy and hieght of modern collection. Putting fun and glitz into the making of a fashion trip which gave some of New York’s more toned down collection’s a run for their sophisticated money.

The designer deliberately showed signs of wear as worked materials appeared having been washed in acid. The collection made S/S layering easy by including a range of sheer and shimmering pieces which looked perfect under a jacket or over swimwear. As for the detailing there was plenty of loud eye-candy – from sequin  detailing to material feathering and rope ties. Parts of the collection certainly hinted towards pre-historic influence – dinosaur heels were all the rage, as was zig-zagged cut out detailing sticking out from the seams of dresses. Custosauras meets sixties psychodelic – we loved it!
