Dans la Vie meaning ‘A start in life’ is the label of Japanese designer Rira Sugawara, she launched the line in AW11, making this only her second collection. Inspired by a medley of ‘Pop princesses’ and separated into four sections (for each Pop Princess) the collection used intense printed fabric, vintage cherubs and tropical prints, distressed cut-up t-shirts and lots of high gloss PVC and plastic.
