Fashion East is a non-profit organization set up in 2000, by The Old Truman Brewery. Every season, young designers are given the opportunity to show off their work and get the help they need to launch their own labels. Some previous designers of Fashion East include brilliant orginals like Gareth Pugh and Louise Goldin. This season designers Felicity Brown, Heikki Salonen and Simone Rocha got together to showcase their individual collections under Fashion East. All three collections were strong in their own right, with our favorites being the dramatic “mille-feuille” ruffled dresses of Felicity Brown and minimal all white aesthetic of Simone Rocha, daughter of designer John Rocha. Talent clearly runs in the family.
