CONTRIBUTOR’S BIOS:

ELIZABETH DEVLIN

http://www.myspace.com/elizabethdevlin

Elizabeth Devlin is a creative young singer from Queens, with a voice at once strong and ethereal. She accompanies herself on Autoharp, which casts her every song in shades of spooky. Elizabeth Devlin invokes influences from scratchy American and French phonographs, combining bitter sweet, haunting vocals with poignant lyrics and angelic, cacophonous melodies.

“All Are Relative”, Elizabeth’s debut full-length album, offers up a delicious residual hum of dreams and fantastic things; the ear should eat this album in one sitting. Although the individual tracks run a gamut of genre associations, they were conceived as symbiotic pieces intertwined, parts of a dynamic storybook, an audible, cerebral landscape. “All Are Relative” was recorded and produced with friend and musician, Kyle Avallone, in small town Belmar, New Jersey, located three blocks from the ocean, in a hundred-year-old house with creaky steps, a leaky attic, and several orphaned inhabitants.=

After self-releasing her full-length debut album “All Are Relative” in Dec 08, Elizabeth joins the BNS Sessions roster to internationally release “All Are Relative” with distribution through Cargo Records UK to retail and record shops throughout Europe along with Digital Distribution to ITunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster, HMV, and Virgin Megastore.

MOSELLE SPILLER:

Moselle Spiller is a graphic artist and animator based in Brooklyn, NY.

Born and raised in rural New Hampshire, the daughter of bohemian-artist parents, her mother a painter & quilt maker, and father a stone sculptor. Moselle came to NYC at the age of 18 and attended Parsons School of Design. Even after 6 years in NYC she has retained a sense of the cosmic beauty of her natural childhood environment. Her designs take inspiration from early Rock N’ Roll / 60’s Mod style, with a Peter Max psychedelic feminine flair.

After graduating from Parsons, Moselle worked as Art Director for an international toy company based in Hong Kong. After an exhausting jet set year involving monthly trips to China, she decided to go completely freelance in 2008. She creates digital animations, websites, and graphics for local Brooklyn artists, photographers and songwriters. She also plays drums with her boyfriend, whom she lives with in Bushwick with their 2 pet turtles.

“My goal as a freelance artist is to stay true to my aesthetic spirit in whatever project I’m on. By remaining true to myself and enjoying my work, clients will come to me for what I am.
