Jean-Paul Lespagnard, the Belgian designer came out with his second women’s ready-to-wear line with his SS12 collection entitled Somewhere In Between. Jean-Paul’s new line was informed by his fantasy of basketball players dinning elegantly in a grand castle. In his vision of these sportive attendees, Lespagnard creates a collection of 100 pieces molding styles of flappers from the 1920’s with the casual, oversized trend of modern day. Loose pants and shorts reminiscent of basketball uniforms are constructed in finer fabrics while belted tops and large knee-length shirts sport flashier jersey-inspired material, butterfly patterns, and industrial embroidering.
