L.A. based designer Kimberly Ovitz had the idea of applying square forms onto her clothing after viewing the exhibition ‘On the Square’ at the Pace Gallery. She was interested in how the artists used square forms to create order out of discord. With that in mind. she cut up cloth into large square pieces and draped it into loose cardigans. In other pieces, patterns of squares are applied to tight minidresses. The geometric minimalism created an extremely visual collection of unique and wearable pieces. We loved the vests with waist to hip straps circling the back.
