LIBERTINE – NEW YORK F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW
There was a lot of handy work on display at Libertine’s F/W 2012 collection. Designer Johnson Hartig, who re-launched for the label for Fall 2011, sent out vintage-inspired pieces for men and women that featured lots of embellishments such as beading, studding, and even rhinestones. For women there’s an Alaïa-esque knit skirt with blue metallic paillettes woven through, or the show-opening black cape gleaming with studs. The men sported bedazzle varsity jackets and studded leggings. There was also a mix of colors and patterns on display, from plaid toppers with studded paillettes, to floral patterns, to patterns of skulls and crossbones, letters, anchors, crowns, and horseshoes.
