MATTHEW AMES – NEW YORK S/S 2011 FASHION SHOW

Designer Matthew Ames was born in Washington D.C. in 1979. He had graduated with a BFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Two years later he showed his first women’s wear collection and opened up a studio in Brooklyn, New York, where he now resides and works. Ames collection focuses on the 90’s minimalism which he had shown in his past collections. This season he continued his minimalistic direction showing tan, sandy hued fabrics juxtaposed with bright, saturated colors.  Headscarves and leather sandals complimented the clean lines. Our favorites were the asymmetrical cuts.
