Irish born Orla Kiely’s collection took inspiration from “Old summer holiday snaps from the forties and fifties and Clare McCardell American sportswear prints inspired by vintage Vogue fashion illustrations” for her SS12 collection. With wearable summer clothes the pieces are playful and childlike, high waisted shirts and tops with simple retro patterns and earthy colours.
