Vauxhall Fashion Scout: “Ones to Watch”, showcased four up and coming UK based designers. Included intho years line up were designers were: Lilee, Charlotte Taylor, Georgia Hardinge, Hwan Sun Park and Chung Chung Lee of A. Hallucination. Lilee was a London College of Fashion graduate, who showed an all cream collection with folds, pleats and drapes. Next was Taylor who showcased a collection of dresses and shorts paired with breast plate adornments and large pendants. Third was Hwan Sun Park and Chung Chung Lee, designers for A.Hallucination. They are graduates from Saint Central Martins who showed menswear featuring shorts, waistcoats and jackets. Last was Georgia Hardinge who’s show was the most fashion forward, showing a mix of sculptured dresses, sleek looks with printed fabrics and a lot of ruffles.
Charlotte Taylor had moved to London to pursue her dream of becoming a clothes designer. She enrolled at Central Saint Martin’s and after five years, graduated. After graduation, Taylor worked with Luella Bartley but left in June 2009 to start up her own label.
Korean designer Young Lilee had won a highly acclaimed prize and special mention for her impeccable dresses at the final London College of Fashion (LCF) MA show. For three years Lilee has gained experience working at one of the biggest brands in Korea. This year she features her white and black spring/summer 2011 collection at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout.
