Celebrating her brand’s 20th anniversary, Daryl K’s S/S collection looked back to the zine-style which has infiltrated much of her career. Daryl K focused her S/S trends around, well, silhouettes that have been seen time and time again – silhouettes that, as the designer stated after the show, ‘she knows ‘work.’ ‘I know what women come back for’ Kerrigan voiced, ‘I don’t need to experiment on the runway.’ The result: a tick all the standard boxes, but perhaps a little on the unoriginal side, collection.
Noteworthy pieces included a ‘jump-dress’ which featured a balloon-skirt – a cross between a dress and a jumpsuit. Does that make any sense? Well, whether you can visualise it or not, it was there and, hail the designer, it was original. Other key details included some rather colourful, abstract, paint-splashed prints, a zip- detailed mussel shell skirt and easy-to-wear cropped silk pants. Nothing overtly creative but certainly wardrobe worthy!
