EVA MINGE – PARIS S/S 2012 FASHION SHOW
In simple, loose silhouettes the Spring/Summer 2012 Couture collection from Eva Minge outlines and playfully shadows the woman’s form. Minge is able to perfectly conceal sex appeal while risking to expose it at once. Retro, short cropped jackets fell just over the breast or delicately over the back, so that the contoured shape of the back is highlighted and irresistible to ignore. The sexiness does not stop there. These subtle illusions pair with bedazzled outerwear bras, sprung from Minge’s exclusive collaboration with Esotiq, a lingerie brand.
Gentle volume plays and body conscious colorblocking accentuate the female form in black and white. Midway through the collection Eva Minge exhibited her lovely ombre hand-dyed silks in a variety of different dress cuts, from a baby doll empire waist to a dramatic, pronounced mermaid dress. The rich fabrics and textures made up for the lack of color range with dense velvet edging tulle, lace and silk.

To emphasize the mod feel, the hair is gently swept back into tall beehives tied up in velvet, trying in fabric from the collection. Because of the dramatic nature of the hair styling, the make-up is subdued with a nude, bronzed lip color and a very light smoky eye .
