HENRIK VIBSKOV – PARIS F/W 2012 FASHION SHOW

True to his reputation for staging a spectacle on the runway, Henrik Vibskov had his models walk down a series of moving boards controled by pulleys. A master of prints and knits, Vibskov’s eye is on point with this collection, pairing stripes, mini-optical illusions, tribal influenced prints together. He experiments with coats this season, creating large zippered sacks on the back which resemble couch cushions with the filling removed. It is creative, and you have to give him that, but the execution leaves some things to be desired. The large exposed zippers did work in other places as details or for pockets.Common elements for each model are the white sandals with black, stiff fringe and also the caps with exposed-ear earflaps. From a distance these caps give the illusion of a balding man’s comb-over, a ridiculous and fun eccentricity.
